Principles of data processing

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

This website does not use any analytics or marketing tools and does not set any tracking cookies.

Contact form

If you contact us via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message) in order to handle your enquiry.

The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your data is stored for the duration of processing your enquiry and within the scope of statutory retention obligations.

Newsletter

To send you our newsletter, we process your email address on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Registration uses a double opt-in procedure: you receive an email in which you confirm your subscription.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by email to kanzlei@ilawyer.at.

Email delivery (processor)

We use the service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as a processor to deliver emails from the contact form and for the newsletter. A data processing agreement is in place with Resend; data transfers to the USA are based on the EU standard contractual clauses.

Hosting and server log files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type). This processing is based on our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is deleted automatically after a short period.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any tracking cookies. Your decision in the cookie notice is stored exclusively in your browser (localStorage) so that the notice is not shown again. No data is transmitted to us or to third parties in the process.

OpenStreetMap

For directions we embed a map from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom). The map is only loaded after you agree (by clicking "Load map" or accepting in the cookie notice). Only then is your IP address transmitted to OpenStreetMap. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated or as required by statutory retention obligations (e.g. under the Austrian Lawyers' Act or the Austrian Commercial Code).

Your rights

You have, in principle, the following rights:

  • Access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
